The French Connection and You
The mission of the caacQ is to find a solution for the ever-increasing number of homeless dogs in Quebec. Euthanasia is no longer an acceptable way out. A solution had to be found and it was in February 2008, when the caacQ proposed to it’s members a new concept - the transfer of homeless dogs to Toronto Animal Services South. The caacQ and Toronto Animal Services South have partnered together to provide a safe journey for these dogs to their forever homes with their new Toronto guardians.
Project “Le French Connection” was launched in May of 2008 and we are very proud to report that from May 1st, 2008 to December 31st, 2009 over 400 “Frenchies” have found new and loving homes in Toronto. We are ever so grateful to you for adopting a Quebec dog. In the event that someone inquires about your beautiful new family member or the topic comes up in conversation, please feel free to mention our organization, its mandate and refer to our website, www.caacq.ca.
At this time we would like to thank the staff of Toronto Animal Services South for their ongoing support. Since May 2008 to December 2009 more than 400 dogs have found new and loving homes in Toronto
Your new dog may understand basic French commands and in order to help you with the transition process we are providing a chart illustrating the command in French, together
with its English counterpart. (click here to view the chart)
On behalf of all our “Frenchies” merci beaucoup.
